The atmosphere in the air had a very strange flare.

He stood near my narrow door,

Bashfully looking straight at the floor.

It was a very strange feeling,

the pumping of my heart beating.

He lifted his face, his face lit aglow.

Our eyes met each other,

Knowing we were meant for each other.

I held one of his hands in mine. His other upon my cheek.

I remember the time we sat near the creek.

I enjoyed sharing ice cream in the parlor together.

I truly believe our love will last forever.

And I was glad you were there to comfort me.

Now is the time and place we should be,

Showing each other how much we believe.
